HEATWAVES across the south could be set to end over the bank holiday, as the government issues weather warnings.
The Met Office today released a yellow warning for rain across Wiltshire between Sunday and Monday.
A band of heavy rain is likely to spread across the county with some areas experiencing "some locally torrential downpours" and possible thunder.
Estimated rainfall could give as much as 30mm, with up to 40mm an hour in some places.
The Met Office believes this could result in "some disruption" with flash floods in roads, affecting transport homes and businesses.
Temperatures in Salisbury rose to the mid-twenties this week.
