A 13-YEAR-OLD Jack Russell was attacked and seriously injured by a brown Staffordshire bull terrier.
Sparky was on a walk with his owner in The Folly, Bemerton Heath, at around 8pm on June 13 when he was attacked.
The owner of the Staffordshire bull terrier is described as a white male of stocky build aged in his early thirties.
He had short brown hair, was around 5ft9in tall and was wearing tracksuit bottoms and a blue T-shirt with coloured patches.
The Staffordshire bull terrier was described as brown with black speckles.
Sparky was taken to Avon Lodge Vets where he received emergency treatment.
At the time it was not known if he would survive the night, but he is now expected to make a full recovery.
Sparky’s owner is very upset and is facing large vet bills.
