TIMOTHY West reflects on the life and works of George Herbert (1593-1633).
Wilton House, a place closely associated with George Herbert through his kinship with the Earls of Pembroke, is the venue for a special evening of poetry, history and music, starring actor and director Timothy West. The programme will also include musical settings of Herbert’s verse and music of his period with lutenist Sam Brown of Dowland Works consort, and mezzo soprano Olympia Hetherington, who studies voice at the Royal Northern College of Music.
