THE family of a motorcyclist from Wylye who died after a crash on the A36 at the weekend have paid tribute to a "loving, outgoing and compassionate" young man.
Alex Brown from Wylye, Warminster, was taken to Southampton General Hospital following the crash near the Crockerton Roundabout on Saturday (August 5).
The 21-year-old died in hospital yesterday (Thursday) surrounded by his family.
His family said: "It is with great sadness that on the 10th August 2017, Alex passed away with his loved ones by his side.
“He was the most loving, outgoing and compassionate young man who thought that life was worth living and had so many plans for the future.
“He will be sorely missed by all his friends and family and remain within their hearts forever.
“We would like to thank all the members of public who helped Alex at the scene of the collision and the subsequent healthcare professionals who tried so hard to help him."
