WITNESSES are being sought after a driver failed to stop at the scene of a crash on the A303.
Police say at about 6.15pm on Sunday (August 13), a blue Vauxhall Corsa was travelling westbound on the A303 at Wylye when a white Citroen travelling eastbound stopped in the gap between the central reservations and pulled out onto the westbound carriageway causing the Corsa to swerve off the side of the road to avoid a crash.
As a result, the Corsa collided with a road sign and came to a stop near a wire fence on the grass verge.
The driver of the Citroen did not stop at the scene.
PC Jonathan Brunt said: “Fortunately the driver of the Corsa was not injured in the collision but we are keen to speak to any witnesses to the incident – anyone with information should get in touch via 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
