THE Westminster Chamber Orchestra is back for an evening of soulful music played by critically acclaimed harpist Anneke Hodnett.
The concert takes place on Saturday, September 23, St Thomas’s Church, at 7.30pm.
Debussy’s Danse Sacrée et Danse Profane is an exquisite piece for solo harp and strings, while Sospiri by Edward Elgar provides a chance for quiet reflection.
The orchestra continues their exploration of music by forgotten British composer Granville Bantock with a performance of Coronach for strings, harp, and organ. Other music includes La Oracion del Torero by Joaquin Turina and Dvorak’s Serenade for Strings No. 3 in E major.
Enjoy a glass of wine and listen in the setting of St Thomas’s Church, Salisbury.
Tickets are £15, £10 concessions, £5 child, £3 student and are available on the door or in advance from Music Room, or online at westminsterchamberorchestra.co.uk.
