HUNDREDS of people braved the rain to show support for Salisbury’s second Pride March.

Francesca Stout, a member of the Pride committee, said: “It went very well, apart from the appalling weather”, but added “no one was put off by the rain, in fact it kind of added to the spirit of the occasion as we were all determined to see the parade through.”

She said it was a “fantastic atmosphere”, with between 250 and 300 people attending, including the Mayor of Salisbury, John Lindley and the acting Dean of Salisbury, Edward Probert.

Partying in the city continued at The Music Box and Truth Bar until 4am.
