A CHARITY throwing a Christmas party for children in poverty is looking for a reindeer to help make the day even more special.
Spurgeons is holding the event for around 30 children who otherwise would not get a proper Christmas.
Santa is set to attend and there will be plenty of presents, food and drink, but none of his reindeer can make it.
The charity would like to borrow one for the afternoon and is appealing for help from Journal readers.
The party will be at Bulford Children’s Centre on Wednesday, October 25, from 10am to noon.
Heather Findlay from the charity said: "We are throwing this party because we know there are many children who won’t get a proper Christmas this year.
"Many of them won’t even have a winter coat or wellies for the snow.
"If anyone can help, they can call me on 01933 417437."
Ms Findlay added: "About 3.9 million children in the UK live in poverty, and 12,000 in Wiltshire."
