HERE IS THE FINAL CALL for entries to the Journal Sports Awards 2017 and you don't have to be sporting champion to be a winner.

That's why there is also a £100 Amazon Voucher prize chance for anyone who makes a nomination.

All those who put a name forward will have their details "put into the hat" for the voucher draw.

There’s a host of categories for entries and the reward for those nominated will be an invitation to a gala night at the Stones Hotel, High Post, on November 17th.

Last year’s awards attracted over nearly 300 people representing in part the very best Salisbury and South Wiltshire has to offer in sporting stars.

This year’s host will be Olympian, tv star and motivational speaker Kriss Akabusi.

Bill Browne, Publisher of the Journal, said: “We've already got some great entries to this year's event, and the judges will be meeting to make their decision at the end of the month."

The Journal wants to find:

Sports personality of the year; Male sports personality of the year; Female sports personality of the year; Senior team of the year; Community club of the Year; Coach of the year; Disability sports personality of the year; Outstanding service to sport in south Wiltshire; Footballer of the year; Rugby player of the year; Cricket player of the year; Hockey player of the year; Athlete & swimmer of the year; Indoor Sports player of the year; Outdoor Pursuits.

Bill said: “As well as recognising the cream of professional and elite sport across the region, we want to decorate people who represent the heart and soul of our sporting success at grass roots level."

All those who nominate a successful sports star will also stand a chance of winning a £100 Amazon Voucher in a prize draw. There is no limit to the nominations. So click here now to post your nomination.
