FLOWERS and a Minnie Mouse toy have been left in tribute to a three-year-old girl who died following an incident at her Fordingbridge home.

The little girl, named locally as Bethan, died in hospital shortly after emergency services attended an address in Whitsbury Road after receiving a concern for welfare call.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and was taken into police custody.

The woman has since suffered a “medical episode” and is currently in hospital.

Hampshire Police have formally released her under investigation.

The little girl was airlifted to hospital at around 7pm on Thursday October 19 but was pronounced dead later that evening.

Neighbours have named Bethan’s parents as Claire and Michael Colebourn. Mr Colebourn is the Chief Executive Officer of Southampton-based marine interiors firm Trimline.

A spokesman for Hampshire Police said inquiries in relation to the arrested woman will “resume at an appropriate time”.
