A TAXI driver was punched and knocked to the ground after a disagreement over a fare in Salisbury.
Police say at about 2am today (Friday, November 10), the taxi driver was collecting three men from Salisbury city centre when a disagreement took place regarding the cost of the fare.
One of the men then punched the driver, knocking him to the ground outside Dominos Pizza in Fisherton Street.
The driver - a man in his 40s - sustained a bruised and swollen eye.
All three men than ran off back into the city centre. They are all described as white, of skinny build and approximately 6 ft tall.
The man who punched the victim was wearing a white t-shirt and had a tattoo on his hand.
