SENTIMENTAL jewellery has been stolen from a house in Salisbury after offenders smashed a patio door.

Today, Wiltshire Police has released an appeal for information to the burglary which took place in Moberly Road between 8am and 6.30pm on Thursday, December 14.

The rear patio door was smashed and a search of the house was carried out.

Various items of jewellery were stolen including a rose gold Pandora bracelet with six charms including a rose gold entwined love charm, an open your heart charm and four various rose charms.

PC Susan Malkinson said: "The occupants of the home have been left extremely distressed and we are doing all we can to investigate and locate the items stolen so we can return them to the victims.

"We'd like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area who may have seen or heard anything suspicious. We'd also like to hear from anyone who knows of someone trying to resell the Pandora bracelet."

In another incident on December 14 a distinctive brooch was stolen from a house in St Albans Close, Bishopdown, between midday and 7.45pm. 

A patio door was smashed and two plastic wallets containing bank and credit card statements were stolen, as well as low value jewellery. 

The most distinctive item stolen was a two inch silver broach with RAF in the middle and wings either side.
