A TEENAGER was allegedly slapped in the face three times following an argument near to a supermarket in Ludgershall.

The incident happened between Tesco and the Co-op store in Andover Road between 3.45pm and 4pm on Wednesday, December 27.

The 16-year-old boy had been in Tesco with his friend when an argument broke out between them and a family.

Following the initial argument the victim was approached by a female, who was not involved in the earlier incident, and she allegedly slapped him in the face three times.

According to police, the suspect is described as a white female in her 40s, with dark hair which was shaved at the sides. She was wearing a green knitted jumper.

The victim is a white, blonde-haired male who was wearing a black tracksuit.

PC Hannah Milburn, from Amesbury Police Station, said: "We are hoping to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen the original argument, or the alleged assault which followed.
