SALISBURY athletes were back training at the city’s running track on Tuesday for the first time since November.

City of Salisbury Athletics and Running Club was locked out of the facility on South Wilts Grammar School land in a dispute over its terms of use.

Club chairman Lee Ness said it was wonderful to be back after such a long absence and the club was delighted with the support it had received from the community over the past five months.

But he said until the club had received a formal letter from the school setting out their terms, it was “only a temporary fix”.

“The club can’t really relax and feel confident that the dispute is over until we know and understand the school’s demands and feel able to agree to them.”
