VANDALS have torched a swing in a Salisbury play park for the second time in a year.
The basket swing at Churchill Gardens was burned by yobs on Monday night (April 23).
Last time it happened it cost £1,500 to replace, meaning a potential bill of over £3,000 for Salisbury taxpayers.
City councillor for the area Sven Hocking blasted the "mindless" vandalism.
He said: "It's just really selfish and thoughtless and not very considerate towards younger children and their parents.
"Kids will be kids, but there has to be a line drawn in the sand somewhere."
Urging youngsters to think about the consequences of their actions, Mr Hocking added: "Everyone's paying for it through their council tax."
New play equipment was installed in Churchill Gardens in 2012 by Salisbury City Council.
