MORE than 30 lead thefts in and around Salisbury have been reported to Wiltshire Police in the past six weeks.
The thefts took place in Salisbury, Wilton, Downton and Coombe Bissett areas.
The latest was last night (April 29) at about 11.15pm in West Street, Wilton.
PC Jack Combellack said: “Officers attended the scene last night following a call from a resident who had heard noises coming from the roof.
"A significant amount of lead had been stolen from the roof, and an area search was carried out but no arrests were made.
"Enquiries are ongoing at this stage and we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the West Street area last night and saw any suspicious vehicles or activity, or has any dash cam footage which could help our investigation.
"Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could be really important.”
