THE first play park at Longhedge Village was put through its paces during its special opening.

The opening ceremony was attended by pupils from Old Sarum Primary School and the chairman of Laverstock and Ford Parish, David Burton, along with representatives from Bovis Homes and Linden Homes.

Cllr Burton said: “We are very pleased that this, the first of a number of play parks at Longhedge Village, is operational for our young residents to enjoy.

“Laverstock and Ford Parish Council are delighted to be taking on the management and care of Robinson Grove Play Park following it’s delivery by the Bovis and Linden teams.”

The fun facility has been funded by Bovis Homes and Linden Homes.

Sue Scholfield, of Linden Homes, said: “We’re delighted to officially open this fantastic new play park at Longhedge Village, it’s a wonderful new facility for the local community and we loved seeing the children having fun at the launch. This is one of 12 play parks that will be opened at Longhedge Village and we look forward to seeing them all enjoyed.”

Hollie Lockhart, the regional marketing manager of Bovis Homes, added: “Longhedge Village is a superb new community and we’re delighted to be able to enhance the location with this great new play park.”
