MEMBERS from 14 different travel trade organisations visited Salisbury on Monday to get to know the city.
The trip, organised by VisitWiltshire, is part of the Salisbury tourism recovery plan encouraging visitors to the city.
The group visited attractions including Salisbury Cathedral, Mompesson House, Salisbury Museum and Live Escape Salisbury, before lunch at Britford Tea Rooms and a city tour from the Salisbury City Guides.
A spokesman for VisitWiltshire said: “We were delighted to have welcomed so many group travel organisers, trade press and trade professionals. These familiarisation visits are important so these organisers have first-hand experience of the area so they are well positioned to return with their groups on future visits or for tour operators to add to their itineraries.”
