BEAVER scouts enjoyed a day hiking and taking selfies with community police officers at Anton Lakes on Sunday.
More than 60 Andover and District Beaver Scouts walked the route while answering questions at each orienteering point.
The explorers saw swans with their cygnets, many ducks and ducklings, young brown trout as well as a pair of police officers, one of which had also been in Andover Scouts.
Sue Nias, from the Scout Active Support team, said: “The day was gloriously sunny and the lakes looked beautiful surrounded by trees covered in their fresh green leaves.
“We also bumped into the friendly community police who stopped for a chat with the children and were persuaded to join in with a group selfie with the members of the 1st and 2nd Andover who were walking together.
“The kids all had a great time.”
On return to 1st Andover Scout’s headquarters, the children took part in making animal masks and decorating stones to be hidden as geo-cache finds.
