A TREMENDOUS number of visitors showed their support for Horatio’s Garden in Salisbury, raising a total of £15,000.
The charity had a weekend of fundraising for the maintenance and running of the garden at Salisbury District Hospital’s spinal unit.
It started off on Friday (June 15) with an evening of drinks and canapés, jazz and a plant sale, with more than 200 guests including patients and families, enjoying the summer evening.
On Sunday (June 17), the garden was opened up to more than 1,000 visitors.
Founder and executive trustee of Horatio’s Garden Olivia Chapple, said: “What an amazing weekend of support we have had here in Salisbury. These events are so vital to the ongoing running of the garden. It is so heartening to see so many people enjoying the wonderful produce and fantastic food, family, friends and patients enjoying the busy atmosphere and continuing to raise awareness and money to support this important garden.”
It supports the rehabilitation of spinal injury patients.
