A FIRE involving about ten tonnes of straw has been put out by firefighters in Odstock this afternoon (Saturday).
Fire crews from Salisbury and Fordingbridge along with a water carrier from Wilton attended the incident in Whitsbury Road, which was reported at about 4.15 this afternoon (Saturday).
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival crews located approximately 10 tonnes of straw alight and used two hose reel jets, one 45mm jet, hay drags and the help of on site farm machinery to extinguish the fire."
