A GIRL was involved in a collision with a car in Salisbury yesterday morning, and police are now looking for witnesses and the driver involved.

Around 7.20am the girl was walking across Devizes Road, close to the mini roundabout at the junction with Highbury Avenue, before being hit by a moving car.

The car was travelling slowly when it hit the 14-year-old so there are no serious injuries or treatment required, despite her falling to the ground.

PC Tom Giles commented: "The male driver of the car did stop briefly to speak to the girl, but did not leave any contact details and left the scene shortly afterwards.

"We need to speak this driver, so are appealing for either the man himself, or anyone who witnessed the incident, to get in touch."

Anyone with information should contact PC Giles on 101, quoting crime reference number 54180065659 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
