FOUR thousand people are expected at this year’s Wessex Country Fair on Sunday, 10am-5pm.

The event at Wilton Park on the Wilton House Estate is raising money for Salisbury Hospice Charity.

Last year the fair raised more than £42,000.

There will be main arena acts including the Jez Avery Stunt Show, vintage fire engine displays, and gun dog skills and tricks as well as music from Pete Robson Blues, The Duskers, Big Dog and Hip Route.

Senior Nurse Sarah Hennell from the hospice team said: ‘This is a big event in our calendar, it raises a lot of money in order to provide sustainable funding for our hospice. We really look forward to seeing you there on the day and inviting you into the Hospice Tent where you can enjoy a complementary therapy, you can enjoy a cream tea and hopefully win a bottle on our Bottle Tombola. We look forward to seeing you there.”
