FOUR people were taken to hospital after a two vehicle crash on the A345 near Netheravon last night (Wednesday, August 8).

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the incident just before 10pm in Netheravon Road, which involved a green Mazda and silver Vauxhall Corsa.

One person was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with a suspected leg injury while two others were taken to Salisbury District Hospital by land ambulance.

Another person was taken to Southampton General Hospital by land ambulance.

Paramedics also treated another person at the scene for minor injuries.

South Western Ambulance Service sent three ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and air ambulance to the incident.

Firefighters from Salisbury, Amesbury and Andover also attended and used hydraulic rescue equipment to free two people.

The road was reopened at about 12.50am.
