AWARD-WINNING comedian Joz Norris is coming to Salisbury Arts Centre.

Joz won the Comedians’ Choice Award for Best Show last year and had one of the best-reviewed shows of last year’s Edinburgh Fringe.

While at the University of East Anglia he started dabbling in comedy as both a stand-up and as the writer of several award-winning scripted comedy shows on student radio and moved to London in 2011 to pursue comedy.

To date he has written and performed in seven solo shows, including 2019s Joz Norris Is Dead. Long Live Mr Fruit Salad. His 2017 and 2019 shows were among the Guardian’s Recommended Shows of the Fringe, and his 2019 show won the Comedians’ Choice Award for Best Show, sold out its entire Fringe run, and transferred to a sold-out extended run at Soho Theatre.

His solo shows have also played several comedy and arts festivals nationally and internationally, including sold-out critic’s choice runs at VAULT Festival, and he has staged one-off performance art pieces at Leicester Comedy Festival.

He wrote and starred in his own acclaimed autobiographical web series The Girl Whisperer, co-starring Ralf Little, for Little Rock Pictures, which was an Official Selection at the LA Web Series Festival in 2017, where he was shortlisted for awards for Outstanding Writing and Outstanding Lead Actor.

He is currently working on a sitcom about the gig economy entitled Job Pig with Zeppotron Productions, and several TV/online collaborations. He is also working on a radio special entitled Be Careful What You Pretend To Be with Giddy Goat Productions.
