New labs for Amesbury School

TWO new science laboratories have been unveiled at The Stonehenge School in Amesbury.
Designed to encourage practical learning in a safe environment, the labs come equipped with projection facilities, movable tables and interactive whiteboards.
The opening has come at an important time for the school as it introduces the triple science award for GCSE students and applies for Specialist School Status in Mathematics and ICT.
Headmaster Nigel Roper said: "We can offer a modern 21st century provision in exciting new laboratories equipped for the world we are living in today."
Students are equally enthusiastic. "It is easier to learn when you have better facilities" said pupil James Bradwell.
The labs were opened by Professor Maria Bitner-Glindzicz, Senior Fellow at the Institute of Child Health at University College London and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
"The building of these labs sends a message to the pupils, parents and local community that The Stonehenge School is serious about science education" she said.
The building has been named The Rosindell Building in recognition of 36 years of dedicated work from school technician, Mrs Jo Rosindell.
"I never dreamt in a thousand years that this would happen," she said.
