A VEHICLE fire near Stonehenge caused part of the A303 to close.
UPDATE (2.25pm): The road has now fully reopened.
Reported by Wiltshire Police at around 12.45pm, officers were atย the scene dealing with the incident.
A statement from police said: "Officers [were] assisting with a vehicle fire on the A303 close to Stonehenge.
"We would ask motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
"Thank you for your patience."
Firefighters were also at the scene, with one crew from Salisbury called to the fire at around 12.20pm.

Two breathing apparatus wearers used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. The stop came at 12.56pm.
