RIVER Bourne Community Farm in Laverstock welcomed some special visitors.

The team at the farm in Cow Lane was joined by presenter Nicki Chapman and a film crew who were filming on the site for BBC's Escape to the Country.

Sara-Jane Hancock, the education and marketing manager at River Bourne Community Farm, said: “We were delighted to have Nicki Chapman and her lovely team from Escape to the Country on the farm last week. They were filming for a new series to be aired next year."

Salisbury Journal:

Our baby goats were adorable and took a liking to Nicki’s hair and dress. She loved what we do here and we can’t wait to see the programme when it goes out.”

During her visit she met with a variety of the farm's animals including pigs Stan and Peggy, who Nicki described in a Facebook post as "the best trained pigs ever".

In another post on her Facebook page about the visit she added: "Filmed at the incredible @riverbournefarm.

"This community project allows everyone from all ages to get involved, enjoy the animals, volunteer if you’re up for it and experience a small community farm first hand. It’s also free to encourage people to visit! Free! They work with all the local schools with their educational centre.

"Thank you to the kind staff including Saje & Gemma who made us so welcome.

"Anyone visiting Wiltshire it’s so worth a trip. I lost my heart…"
