CONTINENTAL culinary fare will return to Salisbury next week when the twice-yearly French market makes its first visit of 2008.
The Market Square will once again become an outdoor delicatessen, boulangerie and charcuterie, featuring the best food and drink from across the channel.
Market organiser Bruno Girardeau said: "The response is always fantastic and we are particularly looking forward to our return to Salisbury where the people have made us feel welcome and clearly enjoy part of the Continent coming to their town. We try to visit a British town no more that three times a year to keep it a novelty experience."
Residents and visitors to the city will be able to treat their taste buds to cheeses, mustards, cooked meats, chocolate, pancakes, cakes and wines - all served with a generous helping of Gallic flair.
The market will be in the city on Thursday and Friday and is scheduled to return on September 11 and 12
