A SCHOOL just outside Salisbury has received a "Good" grade following an inspection from Oftsed.

West Tytherley Church of England Primary School was inspected by the education watchdog between December 13 and December 14 2022, and received a "Good" grade in all areas.

Executive Head Teacher, Lucy Macey, said she hopes this Ofsted judgement will "further the attractiveness of the school".

She added, "We are very proud that the extremely hard work of staff, governors, children, and the whole school community has been recognised by the inspectors and captured in their report."

The recently published report deemed safety to be the number one priority of the school, it reads, "All parents who responded to the parent survey said that their child felt safe in the school."

The report also notes the high aspirations for all children, both academically and in terms of personal development, teachers and staff "expect pupils to be enthusiastic about their learning, concentrate hard and not to give up."

The official report from the education watchdog notes the school could improve communication in some areas, as "important knowledge that leaders intend pupils to understand and remember is not as clear as it could be."

The school say they are "delighted that the feedback was so positive" and they "look forward to further enhancing the experience of every child."
