A driver led police on a chase over more than 20 miles after being spotted driving at excess speed over the bank holiday weekend.
Wiltshire Police first noticed the silver Lexus at 9.20pm on Monday, May 29, driving fast through a residential area in Wilton.
Officers began a pursuit at Shaftesbury Road in Wilton, upon which the driver fled down the M27 to Southampton, where the chase ended at approximately 9.50pm.
A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and dangerous driving and has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Sergeant Ben Brewster of Wiltshire Police said: “We are seeking witnesses to the manner of driving, or anybody who may have been affected by the standard of driving of the vehicle involved in the pursuit.
"We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage of any part of the pursuit which could help our investigation.”
