30 ACRES of farmland was set on fire and seven crews are battling.
Crews from Wilton, Salisbury, Cranborne, Verwood and three crews from Hampshire were called to a field fire in Langley Lane, Redlynch at 1.50pm today (July 2).
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue believe the fire was started with a combine harvester and spread through a field of barley.
Approximately 30 acres of farmland have been set alight.
Firefighters are still tackling the blaze with four hose reel jets in use.
