Three men have been charged with poaching after an incident near Stonehenge.

The men are suspected of illegally trying to catch rabbits in fields just south of the ancient monument on the afternoon of Sunday, October 29.

Lewis Hughes, 26, of no fixed abode, Jack Cooper, 21, of Romsey and James Kempster, 36, of Southampton were all charged with daytime trespass in pursuit of game under S30 of the Game Act.

The men have been released on bail and are due at Salisbury Magistrates Court next month; Hughes and Cooper are due to appear on Tuesday, November 21, while Kempster is due to appear on Friday, November 24.
