Cllr Hoque said: “Salisbury is the city of stars this Christmastime and I am looking for fantastic colourful entries around this theme.

“We have so many artistically talented young people in our city, and I can't wait to see all of the different entries that come in. Good luck."

The winning design will feature the winner’s name and age and the card will be used locally and sent overseas to sister cities in Maryland USA and the twinning cities of both Xanten and Saintes.

A template entry form is available at the council website salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk

It can also be obtained from the Tourist Information Centre in Fish Row.

All entries must be submitted by Thursday, November 30 and the winner will be announced shortly after the closing date.
