A NEW sports bar is opening at the Ray Mac stadium.

The Rude Giant Sports Bar will open on Saturday, February 10, initially opening before, during, and after home matches at Salisbury FC this season; providing fans  an alternative spot to grab something to eat and drink this season.

It is the second hospitality venue launched by the founding partners behind Wiltshire-based brewery, Rude Giant.

While the Sports Bar will initially open on matchdays for the rest of the season, the brewery is hoping to make its residency at the club a permanent fixture and a space to cook up Beerhouse specials found at the Rude Giant Beerhouse on Brown Street in Salisbury.

It is the brewery's first pop-up venue and will be a space to serve their beers and showcase live sports on matchdays.

Salisbury Journal:

Joe Robinson, co-founder at Rude Giant Brew Co, said: “Our arrangement at Salisbury FC marks part of what we hope will become a long-term involvement at the club.

"The atmosphere around the club is so buoyant right now, so we are hoping that offering fans something extra on matchdays will add to that."

Amanda Newbury, Director at Salisbury FC, said "We are extremely pleased to announce the partnership with the Rude Giant brewery and the opening of the Sports Bar on match days in addition to the BlueBee bar.

"With match crowd numbers increasing the opening of a second bar has become essential. This is the first step in the plan to enhance the match day experience for both home and away supporters.

"The opportunity to partner with a local brewery seemed perfect to launch the Sports Bar initially on match days, but with the aspiration to open in the longer term during the week and weekends to serve the local communities in Old Sarum, Longhedge and the surrounding area."
