A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A303.
The incident happened on Sunday, February 11 on the A303 between the A345 Countess Roundabout in Amesbury and the A360 Longbarrow Roundabout in Salisbury.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 2.40pm to a report of a collision on the A303 westbound near to Stonehenge.

"Two vehicles involved – a Toyota Yaris and a Mercedes. One woman has been airlifted to hospital with a leg injury. A road closure is in place at Countess Road westbound and Longbarrow eastbound."
Wiltshire Police has since taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say it was caused by a medical episode.
Wilts Specialist Ops posted: "#RPU and #ARV are at the scene of a 2 vehicle RTC near Stonehenge, despite speculation from members of the public the belief is this was caused by a medical episode at the wheel. Recovery is here and the road will be open shortly and the collision cause fully investigated."

The road remains closed at the time of writing and diversions are in place.
