SGN has told the Journal it hopes to have completed the emergency gas repairs on Devizes Road by this weekend.
The road was closed suddenly just off St Paul's Roundabout late on Monday night due to what Wiltshire Council described as a "major gas leak", and warned residents were warned that the road may be closed for a few days.
SGN told the Journal this morning that work is progressing well and the "hope" is that it will be finished by the weekend.
