SCHOOLS near Salisbury have been celebrating Easter in their own unique ways.

Wellington Lions Primary, Wellington Eagles Primary and Noremarsh Junior School have all enjoyed fun and festive activities during the lead-up to Easter.

Wellington Eagles Primary Academies’ Year four pupils were the first to use their new kitchen, creating rice crispy cakes with little chocolate eggs on top.

The reception class welcomed in parents for an Easter bonnet parade, with hats they had made at home with their family.

Year six finished the end of term reading their handmade books to Year one pupils. The school also visited their local church, St James Ludgershall, for a joyful Easter service.

Wellington Lions Primary Academy held its very own Easter egg hunt organised by the school’s PTA, with pupils having to find eggs around the library and hallway with chocolate waiting for them at the end.

The school welcomed in parents for beverages and cake, also organised by the PTA. Janey Marshall from Journeys for Learning visited the school for a workshop that saw pupils re-in act the story of Jesus at Easter, along with why Christians celebrate his sacrifices and the reasons behind them

Noremarsh Junior School had a special visit from the Easter bunny during their weekly visit from the local farm.

Children then spent the morning matching up two halves of printed eggs, with the reward of a chocolate egg at the end.

The school were asked to create five Easter eggs as part of the Royal Wootton Bassett Town Council Easter egg trail, including one decorated with all of the children’s thumb prints.
