Salisbury Reds' Community Fund is set to back local charities, schools, sports teams and event organisers this April.

The bus operator's fund offers both financial backing and practical support, such as free travel or bus use at events.

Groups interested in applying for this April's allocation can do so via the Salisbury Reds' website.

Past recipients of the Community Fund include Disability Interest Group of Salisbury (DIGS), St Michael’s Community Care and Bradbury House.

The winners of this year's April allocation will be announced in May.

Salisbury Reds general manager, Andrew Sherrington, said: "At Salisbury Reds we’re proud to play an integral role within the local community.

"As well as providing bus services in the region, we endeavour to support and raise awareness for those doing excellent work on behalf of those living here.

"The Salisbury Reds Community Fund is open to everyone - from charities to sports teams - and we encourage anyone who needs a helping hand, however big or small, to apply."
