Teams wanted for endurance challenge

THE British Heart Foundation is challenging teams to complete an eight- hour endurance challenge in Afan Forest Park, South Wales.

The annual Trans Cymru Challenge will be held on September 28 and is a team challenge which will test, team spirit, determination endurance and your mountain biking skills. Whether your challenge is to win or just to get the team to complete the event you will be guaranteed a day your team will never forget.

This is the 4th year the event is held by the BHF in Wales and it hopes to raise more than £25,000 for the charity to beat heart disease in the UK.

The day will start at 8:30am at Gnoll Country Park and over the next 8 hours teams will run alongside (and in!) the Afan river, mountain bike one of the world's best bike trails, face mental agility challenges, complete an assault course and cross a lake.

The stages are:

Mali James, event organiser for the British Heart Foundation in Wales says "The Trans Cymru Challenge is such a great event for anyone wishing to experience the thrills of Afan Forest Park's mountain biking trails. The event is in its 4th year growing in size each year. We had a fantastic response from the teams that took part last year and this year's event should be as good or event better."

Team spaces are limited and on a first to register basis.
