Music in Worship Day event to be held

Comments (0)A DIOCESAN Music in Worship Day for the churches of the Salisbury Diocese will take place at St. Nicholas Church, Corfe Mullen on November 8.
The day will start with Opening Worship and will be followed by a keynote address from internationally known church musician and author Geoff Weaver.
There will also be an opportunity to attend a workshop in the morning and afternoon.
The workshop leaders will include: Rosemary Field, who will specialise in choral direction and vocal technique; Paul Taylor, the Archdeacon of Sherborne, who will offer a workshop on Music in the Eucharist; Robert Fielding who will offer a workshop on Psalmody for singing and an organist workshop. Mark Bick will provide a workshop for Worship Groups and David Bruce-Payne will offer a chance to have a go at music composition.
