RECYCLE and re-use is the message from the Salisbury & South Wilts branch of the National Childbirth Trust, which is holding its biannual nearly new sale of children's clothes, equipment and toys at Five Rivers Leisure Centre on Saturday, October 18 from 10.30am-12.30pm.
Sellers receive 70 per cent of the sales price while the remaining 30 per cent goes to the NCT. All sellers need to do is register with NCT, pick up a seller's pack, label their goods and drop them off on the day of the sale.
Cllr James Robertson, Salisbury district council's portfolio holder for the environment, said: "I'm delighted the council can lend its support to this event.
"It really does promote the ethos of recycling and is a wonderful money saver for parents wanting to buy clothes and a way of making some extra cash for parents who no longer need the clothes."
Sale co-ordinator Jo Woods said: "The sale is incredibly popular so the best advice is to make a list of things you need beforehand."
