THE spiritual and moral guidance given to pupils at St Joseph's School in Salisbury has earned a glowing report.
It is "a good Catholic school, characterised by an openness and respect for each individual as a unique creation in the image of God," an inspection found.
"Leadership by the head teacher and governors is very effective and inspires a common commitment."
Teaching and learning were judged outstanding.
The inspection, on behalf of the Catholic Diocese of Clifton, found that St Joseph's benefits hugely from being a small community, enabling it to provide a truly inclusive education where the needs of each individual are recognised and successfully addressed.
The provision for collective worship is good and continues to improve.
RE is well led. The standards pupils achieve in religious education have improved significantly over the last three years, and are well above national averages at GCSE.
