THE ladies who lunched at the Michael Herbert Hall in Wilton on Wednesday were definitely in the pink.
About 175 women, past and present patients of the breast care unit at Salisbury District Hospital, tucked into a buffet lunch and toasted one another with pink fizz at the annual event.
For the 22nd year, the organisation of the event was in the hands of the unit’s Carol Dean, with the assistance of clinical nurse specialist, Shirley Holmes, and breast care sister, Sonnya Dabill, as well as a team of volunteer helpers.
The event takes place in October each year to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
