STAFF, parents, pupils and governors at Western Downland School came together last week to offer a warm welcome to new head teacher, Kim Wilcox.
The special service, which was held last Friday at St George’s Church, Damerham, was led by the vicar, Les Player, and saw a special commissioning by the director of the Diocesan Board of Education, Chris Sheppard.
Miss Wilcox was presented with a bible and the churchwarden officially handed her the keys to the school.
Miss Wilcox said: “I am extremely excited to have this opportunity and I am delighted to be leading Western Downland towards becoming an outstanding school.”
