SALISBURY District Hospital’s Caring 4 Kids campaign was given a huge boost last week, when Salisbury accountants Moore Stephens handed over a donation of £10,000.

The money was raised at a charity gala screening of the latest James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, on its release in October last year and a cheque was presented to the appeal last week.

The donation will go towards the campaign’s target to raise £1million to fund a range of additional equipment and facilities for a new children's unit at Salisbury District Hospital.

Dave Cates, appeal director, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Moore Stephens for their support of our Caring for Kids campaign. It is great to see local companies getting behind their local hospital.”

Chris Bush, a partner at Moore Stephens, said: “Many of our staff and clients have young children and we are only too aware that one day they might need the hospital’s care. This is why we are so keen to support this brilliant initiative that will make life better for so many local children in hospital.”
