Venus, the winning house team at Appleford sports day
THERE were some record-breaking performances at Appleford School’s annual sports day.
Four records were broken at the school in Shrewton, which caters for youngsters with dyslexia; in the senior javelin, the middle school 150m, the hoop throw and the high jump, so the records now stand at 30m, 25.16 seconds, 20m and 1.08m respectively.
Venus was the winning house team and individual awards were handed out for the best boy and girl in different age groups.
