A SPECIAL Summer Concert was performed at Ringwood School to celebrate its Golden Jubilee.

Pupils from Years 7-13 took part in the concert performing a range of pieces and acts from a wide spectrum.

During the second half of the show a showcase of songs from the musicals staged at Ringwood School in the last seven years were performed, including pieces from Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and Les Miserables.

Head of Music Lindsay Blondel said: “The students have been working hard, rehearsing for many months, often juggling their other music, drama and dance commitments, schoolwork, including external exams, and jobs. “We have enjoyed working with them and hope that it has been an enjoyable and rewarding experience for them too.”

The school has had many musical and dramatic performances during the past fifty years.
