Top marks for water company

BOURNEMOUTH and West Hampshire Water has been named the top performing water company for service delivery by industry regulator Ofwat.
The company, which supplies water to half a million people in Dorset, west Hampshire and part of Wiltshire, including customers in Fordingbridge and Ringwood, achieved its best ever performance in Ofwat’s assessment.
Managing director Tony Cooke said: “Our focus at all times is on customer service and I’m delighted that this has been recognised by our industry regulator.
“Most of what we do is out of sight and out of mind for the very large majority of the time, but it takes continued and sustained effort by all of our staff to attain, and maintain, such good performance – this ranking is a fitting reward for all their hard work and commitment.”
