FIVE New Forest animals were hit by vehicles last week.

On Monday a black filly foal was injured after an accident on the B3054 at Hilltop.

A pony was hit by a vehicle in Burley village on Tuesday but could not be found afterwards. Another pony was hit and could not be found on Thursday on the B3056 at Matley.

Also on Thursday a palomino pony wearing a reflective collar was injured and had to be destroyed. This happened on the C10 at Setley and Marlpit Oak.

On Sunday a chestnut coloured pony was injured after an accident on the B3079 at Wittensford.
